Tropical Absolut Bottles.
A product designer named Williams Murray Hamm has designed the bottle graphics for Absolut Flavor Of The Tropics. This Absolut flavour is a new limited edition, that will be launched exclusively in Duty Free/Travel Retail globally for a 6 month period. I think that it is a really funky looking design. I really makes you feel tropical 
Recent doodles.
Seeing that I haven’t been having much luck of the job front recently I have been drawing a loy more than usual. I’m really enjoying being able to draw whatever I want to and learning about new ways of creating images. Here are a few doodles I have been working on. Remember that these are not final pieces so they are not my best work. Hope you like.
Recent happenings
Thought I would give you a quick blog saying what I have been up to. Well basically I’m working as a waitress four days and week, which takes up a lot of my time. I’m also trying hard to get a graphics job/ work expereince/ freelance work. So I’m asking a favour if you hear of anything that you feel would be right for me, please could you email. Banskey in Bristol
Recently I took a trip down to Bristol to see the banskey show that has been showing in Bristol’s museum and Art gallery. I didn’t really no what to fully expect, yet I did know it was going to be worth seeing. After queuing for an hour and half we finally got in. Banskey had done a number of pieces questioning our society and Britain today, with his opinion being really correct in some cases. He has one room dedicated to most of his larger pieces of work. I think that the best piece of artwork in this room was the one showing Parliament as monkeys. This at first makes you laugh as you look at the different expressions on the monkeys faces, but then you realise that sometimes this is kind of true. Government sometimes become monkeys while running the country.
I especially liked his pieces that he a dotted around with the other painting that are usually on display. I made his art work more comical and also made you look at the other pieces and artist in the gallery. This is rather clever and probably helps the museum get more interest.
I feel the museum itself didn’t expect the number of people who would turn up on their down steps. But I really do feel that everyone who has looked around the show have felt like it was worth the went. I’m just glad it was sunny.
Pretty things
As you already know I love looking a pretty, lovely patterns that are quiet girlie. I was searching for new things recently to inspire and help me get back into drawing and painting again as I want to broaden my skills. I have come across a few artists that I really love the work of.
The first being Claire Coles. She is known for her wallpaper design, which interests me as I am hoping to do a course in this in September. Here are a few pieces of her work that you may enjoy

Reflection
As you already know I’m a third year graphics student. However I have now come to the end of my degree, which makes my a graduate!! I have been recently reflecting on my time in university. I know it has taken ages to blog and I am sorry. I realised that the one thing that I have gained from going away from university is more independence in my life. This is a good things as never really had made many of my own decisions. However now finding it hard living at home again!.
I also learnt a lot about what I really do not want to do next and how I want to investigate different areas of design as well as techniques and materials that I can use. This is all good and well but facing my money situation and where I am living I’m finding this quiet hard to achieve.
Another things that I have learnt while being a uni is friendship and what it means to me. I must admit I have probably not been the greatest friend at times to people however I have also learnt not to be to niave with other people as well.
Overall I hope that everyone who has graduated this year feels like they have gained something while being on their courses….I feel I will learn more about what I have gained when I get more work and experience. So watch this space. Here is an graduating year. Next post will hopefully have images of my show etc!! watch this space, sorry so late!
Blunt
I was looking for stuff to do with my portfolio, when I came across this website. It is called Blunt and has a group on Illustrators, designers and photograph showcasing their work.
This first pieces that I saw was the work of Rupert Meats/ Rude. It taught my eye because of the amazing use of colours , that are bright and friendly. Each piece has been done making you feel really quiet happy. I love illustration anyhow and wish that I was a thousand times better then I actually am. So when I see piece of work like this I feel inspired to try again. I especially enjoyed the typography pieces, as they have been pushed and experimented with, to create interesting, fun and funky fonts. So if you have some time on your hands I would recommend you looking this website up.

Together Design
Next Thursday we have a talk from a women called Katja Thielen. The women along with one of two others set up the company together. I have been researching them to get some background knowledge of what they are about and what they do. I must admit I’m very impressed, and really enjoyed their website with the little cartoon man who gives the quality of friendly ness.
